Elaine Chow wishes she could move back to San Francisco. Iowa feels awfully strange to her, especially since she’s the only Chinese American in her new school. Then she meets friendly Mary Lewis Thorp, her new partner for the class science project. Mary Lewis is completely frog-crazy—she has a frog horn on her bike, and even plans to change her name to Frog Thorp! The school project is about flying, but Mary Lewis wants to include frogs, even though frogs can’t fly. Or can they? The entire third grade is in for a big surprise when Elaine and her new friend bring in their creative solution!
