Salvatore Tocci is a science writer who lives in East Hampton, New Your, with his wife Patti. He was a high school biology and the chenistry teacher for almost 30 years. As a teacher, he always encouraged his his students to do experiments to learn about science. When he is not writing, he loves to spend time in his darkroom using light to develotp black-and white photographs. His photographs have appeared in both newspapers and books.
